Please join us in welcoming author Natalie Taylor for a chat with our Leanne on Saturday 2nd September at 10.30am.
The beauty and wonder of nature and words have captured Natalie’s attention for as long as she can remember. She believes that being a conscious member of the synchronistic symbiosis, that is community and life on planet earth, is the pinnacle achievement of our existence. She describes her journey of life more simply as an “opportunity to learn and strive to find ways to connect and be more present every day.”
Some of Natalie’s favourite pastimes, apart from writing, include meditation, appreciating music and good company, travelling, reading consciously, exercise, and listening out for the voices of wisdom – whether they come written, spoken, sung, or simply whispered on the wind. On her personal journey of becoming a writer Natalie says that “I haven’t always wanted to be a writer, but somewhere in between the end of my twenties, and the middle of my thirties, I decided that I would like this to be on my resume, whether it was a paid gig or not!” These days, her goal is to travel the world discovering sacred sites, like she has always wanted to do, and to write about life, and the little and big things that make up those adventures.
In between all this she is grateful and feels fortunate to be able to live on the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia, with her partner, who is also an author, their blended family, and a gorgeous bichon x poodle. Natalie holds a Diploma in Creative Writing and The Seasoned Observer is her second book, her first, a memoir titled “A Meeting of the Waters, Journeys Home” was published in 2013. Natalie looks forward to sharing and connecting with others, and she can be found @ www.nataliejean.com.au on her Facebook page @ Natalie Taylor – Author.
The Seasoned Observer
“I do not profess to be a celebrity. I do not ache for fame. I am both an ordinary and an extraordinary woman, whose purpose in this lifetime is to bring messages of both love and truth out into the world. My wish is to ignite a moment of Aha – ness within you, or to provide an insight into the windows of your sacred soul, and to your authentic truth, which is the exponential growth and the gifts that you came here, to planet earth, to birth.”
The evolution of the human species is to embrace a higher consciousness and our very survival depends on this. And perhaps that is why you have picked up this book? Because your soul already knows…
The Seasoned Observer is a reflection on one woman’s journey of self-discovery, survival, and growth. Exploring challenging themes such as mental health, loneliness, and grief, it crosses the bridge to discovering greater purpose, finding true intimate love, and deeper connections within nature, community, and spirituality.
Written with honesty, love, and candour, it is a deep inquiry, which invites and creates space for the reader to reflect on their own journey, as well as providing resources and self-help tools to cultivate greater connection, purpose and peace.
