Services

Every library within the Mid North Coast Library Service provides a wide range of facilities, services, items and programs for all ages and abilities.

For those unable to visit the library due to age, illness or immobility, the Home Library Service maintains a vital connection with all that the library offers. A library staff member will help you select items for reading or listening.

 

An Inter-Library Loan service is available for members to obtain information or items from other libraries and information agencies from around Australia. If what you need is not found in our local collection, then we can often obtain it via an Inter-Library Loan.

 

Port Macquarie-Hastings & Kempsey Shire Libraries provide computer access, including broadband internet and the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Free wi-fi is also available as are printing, copying and scanning facilities.

 

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Library provides a 3D Printing service available to the community.

 

The Seed Library’ is a joint initiative of Port Macquarie-Hastings Library service aims to encourage people to grow healthy food, reduce costs and become more active in the garden.

 

Our mobile libraries provide outreach services to schools and out-lying areas. Choose from over one thousand books on board or reserve items from our library catalogue.

 

The role of the Justice of the Peace (JP) is to act as an independent and objective witness to documents people use for official or legal purposes.The MNC Library Service offers free Justice of the Peace services at Wauchope, Laurieton and Port Macquarie libraries.
