The Library Film Club presents

Friday November 29, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Port Macquarie Library
32 Grant St
Port Macquarie, New South Wales 2444 Australia

The Library Film Club presents a film starring Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton on Friday November 29th, 2pm at Port Macquarie Library.

Based on the novel by Rachel Joyce, this film tells a story of quiet heroism and of rediscovery. The otherwise ordinary Harold Fry captivates a nation when he leaves behind routine and regret and sets out on a 450-mile walk of hope to reach his dying friend. His journey is a celebration of life that helps us to realize that failure and loss, just as much as success and joy, can shape us for good. This earnest portrayal of universal love is led by Academy Award winner Jim Broadbent and brought to life by Director Hettie Macdonald against the outstanding beauty of the English countryside.

Harold is an ordinary man who has passed through life, living on the side lines, until he goes to post a letter one day…and just keeps walking.
