Looking for something a little different to borrow? I think we might have something for you…
Ukuleles
We have Mahalo tenor ukuleles available for loan. Each uke comes with a tuner and chord chart so you can start strumming with the reckless abandon of an out of work hipster.
Keep an eye out as the library often runs free Beginner Ukelele courses for seniors during the year. Thanks to a Creative Ageing Local Government grant, we were the first Council in Australia to have ukulele kits available for loan at the library. So far over 135 seniors have participated in this project.
Makeymakeys
We loan Makeymakeys – an invention kit for everyone.
Ever played a banana piano or designed a controller with playdough and pencils? Make circuits out of everyday objects, or use them to help you learn how to code. There are 1000’s of projects that will get your brain humming.
Zoom H1 digital audio recorders
We loan Zoom H1 digital audio recorders – Want to record an interview? Some poetry? Bird calls? Take the Zoom H1 out and capture something special. You can even bring it into the Imaginarium to mix and edit your recording.
