All library branches will be closed Tuesday 25th April for Anzac Day.

Browse & Borrow

Do you love books? Your local library is great resource for finding that next great read. You can browse online from the comfort of your home or pop in to your local library to see what’s on offer. If you’re stuck, talk to your local librarian about recommendations. There is something available for all age groups.

Book clubs are a great way to share your love of books with friends. The Mid North Coast Library Service has a number of resources available for book clubs in our area.

Not sure what to read next? Need some ideas? We have compiled lists and gathered some resources that will help you find your next favourite read or author.

Although our library branches have opened for browsing & borrowing we are still offering our popular ‘Click & Collect’ service, with collection available.

It is now possible to borrow a range of free exercise equipment from your local library.

The catalogue covers the digital collection of the seven libraries in the Hastings and Kempsey shires. There are 180,000 items available to be borrowed. In addition to the normal range of adult and children's books, there are also e-books, music CDs and DVDs.

If you’re currently unable to come in to the library to select items from our collection, or you don’t have time to browse, our Library Select service could be perfect for you.

If you are a library member and we do not have a copy of the item you wish to borrow, you are welcome to suggest a purchase. Recommendations for purchases are subject to the collection development policies of the library and budgetary constraints.

Haven’t quite finished the book you borrowed? Do your kids want to watch that DVD one more time? You can renew your items unless someone else has reserved them or you have already renewed them twice.

Borrow something a little different from your library. We have Ukeleles, Makeymakey kits and Zoom H1 digital audio recorders.

The library has compiled a number of collections made up of specialised research and reading material.

Street Libraries are a beautiful home for books, planted in your front yard. They are accessible from the street, and are an invitation to share the joys of reading with your neighbours.
