Community Services

Welcome to our community services help page.

MyCommunity

The MyCommunity directory is like a hub of local organisations and groups. It’s a place where community-making organisations can promote their services and community events on Council’s website and on the What’s On Events Calendar, all for free!

It’s an easy to use directory where you can look up services and community events. A way to find interest groups, charities, not-for-profit organisations, social and volunteer groups, service providers and agencies and their events in the Port Macquarie Hastings area.

Port Macquarie’s Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) is a group dedicated to addressing local alcohol and other drug concerns through various initiatives. These efforts encompass organizing information and awareness sessions, youth-focused activities, and inviting guest speakers to contribute to the cause.

We extend an open invitation to all interested individuals to join our meetings. For further details, feel free to visit the Neighbourhood Community Centre or reach out via email at tina@buttery.org.au. We welcome your participation and input in our efforts to foster a healthier community.

  • LDAT

The Port Macquarie Local Drug Action Team (LDAT) is part of the national LDAT program delivered by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF), which brings community organisations together to prevent and reduce harm from alcohol and other drugs (AOD). The Port Macquarie LDAT works locally with schools, community groups and services, Elders, and local leaders to design and deliver Community Action Plans (CAPs) that respond to the specific needs of their community through evidence-informed prevention activities. The ADF supports the Port Macquarie LDAT with funding, resources, and guidance to strengthen partnerships and build protective factors such as social connection, education, and community belonging.

To learn more about the LDAT program, prevention strategies, and community resources, visit the ADF Community Hub — a central online platform where communities can access practical tools, ideas, and stories that support conversations and local action around alcohol and other drugs. https://community.adf.org.au/
