SEED LIBRARY
Do you know about our seed Library?
Visit the library to ‘borrow’ your seeds – plant the seeds in your garden – raise the plants – let some go to seed – then bring some of the seeds back to the library so that the collection continues to grow. Easy… and delicious!

🌱 Have you discovered the Seed Library?![]()
The Seed Library is a free community initiative helping people grow fresh, healthy food at home, reduce grocery costs, and enjoy the benefits of gardening. It’s also a great way to connect with other local gardeners and share knowledge, seeds and inspiration.![]()
At Port Macquarie Hastings Library Service it’s simple:
Borrow → Plant→ Harvest → Return![]()
Visit your local branch to borrow seeds for free, plant them in your garden and watch them grow. Once your plants go to seed, you’re encouraged to bring some back so others in the community can enjoy them too.![]()
We also have empty seed packets available in branch, or you can bring your seeds in and package them with us.![]()
