Summer Poetry Competition

Feeling poetic? Express yourself this summer with the Summer Poetry Competition.

Poets of all ages are invited to submit a poem that they have written about the theme: Around the World. These could be about travel, other countries, different cultures, or whatever inspires you! All entries will be compiled into a book that will be available for loan from the libraries from early 2025. Prizes will also be awarded to entrants from all age groups who have submitted exceptional pieces of poetry.

There are 2 ways you can enter:

1. Download and print out our entry form (or pickup a copy at your local library) then return your completed form to the library front desk; OR
2. Submit your poem as a word or pdf document via the form below.

The theme for poems is: “Around the World”
Winners from each age group will be notified by email.
Entries are open: December 1st 2024 – February 28th 2025
