Join us for ‘Younger Years: Then and Now’ An Intergenerational Creative Workshop for youth and seniors at Port Macquarie Library on Monday 2nd March at 4.00pm.
Step back in time and get creative together this Seniors Week.
We welcome local teens and seniors to come together at the library for a relaxed, hands-on intergenerational art session, facilitated by local intergenerational program expert, Casey Baldwin from Intergen Connect. Together, you’ll create collages themed around your “younger years”, sharing favourite memories, music, places, and milestones while cutting, pasting, and arranging images and words that tell the stories of your lives. You’re welcome to bring a copy of an old photo, postcards, or mementos to include, or simply come along with your stories – everything else, including art materials and helpful guidance, will be provided.
This free workshop is a chance to connect across generations, spark conversation, and discover what we have in common, all while making something meaningful to share.
You’re welcome to book in with a young person or senior you know or register as an individual and be paired with others on the day in a friendly, supported setting.
Spaces are limited to 10 young people (aged 10+) and 10 seniors (aged 50+) per session – bookings essential.
