HOW FREE IS FREE SPECH

When freedom of expression is at the forefront of Australian
public consciousness, how do we responsibly maintain that freedom while fostering community?
PEN Sydney has been defending writers and their freedom of expression here and around the globe for more than 90 years. In this panel discussion, journalists Jan Fran and Peter Greste and cartoonist Cathy Wilcox share their experiences of navigating complex environments with their politically engaged work. How do we find a middle ground among nuanced perspectives and multiple truths?
