Calling all mini biology enthusiasts and question askers!
Have you ever wondered what cells are? How our lungs work? Or why we need sleep?
Learn all about this and more in our human biology workshops with presenter, Jorja Schofield! Across five weeks, girls aged 7-12 years will learn how STEM is important in health and develop a better understanding of human biology.
Week 1: Microscopes and microscopic organisms
Week 2: Exploring DNA: what is it and how can we extract it from fruit?
Week 3: Professionals week – exploring Radiology and Speech Pathology
Week 4: Exploring the brain
Week 5: Finale – a little bit of everything!
There will be plenty of time for open-ended exploration and creativity each week, so the girls can work at their own pace with support from Girls in STEM Club expert volunteers!
