DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Dying to Know event facilitated by Rod Cole and and Kellie Hartnoll-White on Saturday 8th August at 2.30pm at your Port Macquarie Library.\nThis is a free event\, registrations essential\, and afternoon tea will be provided.\n \nDeath and dying\, what does it mean to embrace it\, instead of fearing it? What if our mortality could be the catalyst for a life well lived? \nMid North Coast Grief Collective is hosting a Dying to Know Day event. “Where conversations about grief and end of life become community wisdom”\nDying to Know Day is a national campaign in Australia that encourages individuals to approach the inevitable not with fear\, but with purpose\, compassion and intention. We don’t have many spaces to talk about living and dying. Let’s make time to come together\, be curious and be better informed. Here is an opportunity to come together and support each other. \nThis 90-minute event\, hosted by 2 local death educators will include:\nInformative discussion around the misconceptions and facts of dying.\nExplore what we most dread about dying and what we are most hopeful for.\nHow do you talk about death and dying?\nLet’s prepare for a tender conversation with a loved one. \nABOUT THE FACILITATORS:\nKellie Hartnoll-White is a Social Work student\, End of Life specialist\, and the Founder of Embrace\, a practice dedicated to compassionate\, person led support around death\, dying\, loss and grief. \nRod Cole is an experienced individual and couples therapist\, with a strong background and training in grief therapy. \n
