TENDER is at once a heartbreakingly beautiful and honest glimpse of an extraordinary community taking on one of the most essential challenges of human life…its end. As this community grapples with the increasing need to take back their power from big funeral corporations, one of their own is faced with his impending death. A beautiful story of community empowering each other to bravely turn towards the time honoured tradition of caring for our own dying and dead, and to walk the path with the love that is needed at such an important time.
Join us for a screening of this inspirational film by award-winning filmmaker Lynette Wallworth followed by Q & A. This is an opportunity to find out about the establishment of not-for-profit funeral service, Tender Funerals Mid North Coast, and to learn more about the Tender Funerals model.
This screening is part of Tender Funerals Mid North Coast series of events across August for Dying To Know Day 2021 – Empowerment Choice Connection. Dying to Know Day is a national day that encourages us all to talk openly about death and be prepared for the inevitable.
