Talking Death & Dying – the conversation continues – live online
November 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Saturday November 21, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
This is an online event only
The conversation continues in this next special session – live online via zoom – talking about death and dying. We will be speaking again with three inspiring locals: Relle Hart, Denis Juelicher and Beth Anderson.
Death affects us all and is an integral part of life. We will all die and we will all, at some time, face the death of beloved family members. Despite this, as a society we rarely discuss it and often very little is known about the options available for death care and funeral planning.
We would love to hear from you! There is so much to discuss and to consider. Please let us know what topics or content you would like discussed, or any questions you would like answered. Email your questions and areas of interest to: email@example.com
Relle is an End of Life Doula on the Mid North Coast. This incredibly important service isn’t well known or understood, and is an emerging role in the Australian landscape. An End-of-life Doula provides a range of non-medical emotional, spiritual/existential and practical support, planning and coordinating, information and advocacy to people who are facing, or seeking an active journey with, their end-of-life.
Denis is a member of the working party at Tender Funerals Mid North Coast. Tender Funerals is part of the community movement towards reclaiming the rites around death and dying, one of life’s most important experiences. Tender Funerals is a not-for-profit funeral service that offers choice and transparency in delivering personalised, meaningful and affordable funerals in times that can create financial or emotional distress, and community education and empowerment around after death care.
Beth is the author of Rest Assured, an interactive, light hearted, and very informative resource on a topic everyone will be faced with, your wishes and choices, regarding your eternal rest. Have you felt like you wouldn’t have a clue where to start if a loved one died? Are you worried about how your loved ones will manage when you die? Rest Assured is easy to read and easy to complete and will help you and your loved ones, in your time of need. Beth has worked and is still working in the social and community sectors.
