If you enjoy knitting or crocheting or would like to learn, why not check out one of our local knitting groups which meet on a regular basis at Kempsey Shire Library.
Knit and Natter is a social group for people 60+ who meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 1pm to 3pm to enjoy a chat while they create items for charity. Presently the group is making trauma teddies, which are small knitted bears distributed to the emergency services to hand out to comfort people, especially during a crisis. Detailed instructions on how to make the trauma teddies are available at the library or you can download the instructions here.
