Please join us to acknowledge and gain awareness of the Blackmans Point Massacre on Tuesday 31st May at 2pm. The short film documentary will be followed by a respectful discussion lead by Birpai elder Aunty Rhonda Radley and film producer Sam Mehan

Blackmans Point Massacre is a short documentary on Port Macquarie’s most violent historical event. A narrative that has been silenced for close to 200 years is examined to uncover the truth that happened in 1826. This includes the lens of colonists, the ongoing denial, and the voices of Birpai people and what impact acknowledgement of this sacred site means for the healing of the entire community.
