Following advice from State and Federal Governments, Port Macquarie Hastings Libraries will be closed to the public from tomorrow (Tuesday 24 March) in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the wider community. We don’t know how long the Library will be closed at this stage. To repeat, the Library will not open tomorrow and will remain closed until further notice.
This pandemic is a time of great challenge and disruption for all of us, and many of us are very concerned at the thought of being isolated from one another. Please remember that while our doors may be closed, we at the Library will be doing our best to keep you stimulated and connected, even when faced with self-isolation.
We encourage you to continue to visit us online to download e-Books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, music and movies, which can all be accessed from home using your library card. To access these resources you will need your membership number and password (date of birth) – if you need any assistance you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any new information about the operations of the Library in the days and weeks ahead will be published here and on our social media channels.
For up-to-date information on COVID-19 please visit NSW Health.
We are grateful for the support of our community and we look forward to welcoming you back to your beloved Library again at the first opportunity.
