Snakes @ Your Library

It's not everyday you get to cuddle a snake at your local library, but for some very brave children that's exactly what they got to do today at Wauchope library. As part of the Festival of Stories School holiday activities, National Parks and Wildlife Services ranger Keith Davey enthralled the kids with stories and activities, not only on snakes, but other amazing animals too. They even had the fun of trying to put together a horse skeleton, but of course the highlight of the day was everyone (except us scaredy cat mums) got to hold the friendly? diamond python.

It isn't too late to join in the fun of the Festival of Stories with more activities planned for both the Port Macquarie and Laurieton areas. For more details please see our upcoming events list.
