Hooked with Love

The Hooked with Love knitters, Joy, Anne, Phyllis and Adrienne enjoyed their  Christmas get-together. 

These ladies (plus others not shown) meet on the first Friday of each month at Kempsey Library to knit and natter.  So far, this very productive group has sent 14 of their knitted blankets sent to Samoa as part of the Tsunami relief program, and have completed an additional 7 blankets that have been distributed locally.   

New knitters are more than welcome, and donations of wool are always appreciated!! Just contact Kempsey Library for all the details.

Since the meeting on 4th December 2009 until meeting on 5th November 2010, our fantastic group has completed 119 wraps made from a total of 3332 X 10" squares and 41 kneewraps made from 1476 X 6" squares. Twelve of the larger wraps have been donated to the Rehabilitation ward at Kempsey hospital with the others going to Sydney to be sent to various areas worldwide where disaster has struck. The kneewraps have been donated to the three nursing homes in Kempsey.
Our next meeting, Friday 3rd December 2010 will be our Christmas party to which all are welcome. We'd particularly like to see some of our knitters and crocheters who don't come to the regular get togethers come along and join in the fun.
