Not the January sales

Rather this was the scene at Port Macquarie Library on Saturday when we held our very successful new book extravaganza.  Books, CDs and DVDs were snapped up by eager borrowers some of whom found it very difficult to wait until the the 10.a.m. start. Many commented that Christmas had come early and not just those who received lucky door prizes.  In total 1501 items were borrowed in a very short space of time. The only casuality of the day was the library manager who had to go home and have a little rest - obviously I am not used to working so hard.
