The family history collection in the Port Macquarie library is located in the Local Studies/Family History Room. The room is open for the same hours as the main library. Volunteers from the Port Macquarie & District Family History Society are available to assist on Tuesdays between 10:00 and 3:30 and Wednesdays between 12:30 and 3:30.

Book Collection
The library maintains an extensive print collection of family history resources including pioneer registers, census and muster records, how-to guides, shipping and immigration books and personal family histories.
Chat & Coffee
Come along on the 1st Wednesday of each month to an informal family history 'Chat & Coffee' session held in the library meeting room from 10:00 till 12:00. Join other family historians for a chat about what's happening in genealogy or maybe just share a 'brickwall' and hopefuuly someone can help you breakthrough!
